Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s index of manufacturing and extractive industries, excluding crude oil and petroleum products, increased by 4.7% month-on-month to 138.6 points in May from 132.43 points.

The index of printing and reproduction of recorded media went up 12.5% to 174.43 points in the fifth month of 2019, compared to 155.1 points a month earlier, data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed.

Additionally, the index of chemical products registered 158.07 points, rising by 21.7% month-on-month from 129.84 points in April.

On the other hand, the index of ready-made garments fell by 25.9% to 241.85 points in May, compared to 326.216 points a month earlier.
